Positively Orval

My dad, my heart, my soul, my friend, my fishing buddy.
I will positively miss him, but will always have positive memories of him!
Peace and pain free at last...
You are my light.

Heaven is a brighter! This little sketch is of Dad being reunited with my grandparents, his little sister, my mother-in law, my great grandparents, and all of my uncles, aunts, family friends... Towards the end of the line is Jesus...

Dad was lifted to heaven in his boat but also in the hands of God, his boat anchored to a cross. Hearts surround him, as he finally achieved peace and comfort on Valentine's dad. The family members greet him with hugs and handshakes, a fishing rod and tackle and of course, a guitar.

Dad is there in his walking shorts, a plaid short sleeved shirt, his fishing hat and sandals, ready for his first fishing trip...

To quote my aunt:

"There are some who bring a light so great to the world, that even after they have gone, the light remains. What fond memories we have of Orval."

    1. The weeks have been difficult, but they were also very special. Holding hands with my dad, playing guitar for him, saying "I love you", hugs, eye winks, and smiles, even when he couldn't respond in other ways. He was a wonderful man and a role model for how dads, fathers and grandpas should be. My strength and courage is growing thanks to well wishers like yourself!
